Greeting to one and all;
We've been asked to discuss the fact that if seems that the planet is under siege with negative and harmful things these days. That there is trouble with food, air, water and most of the essentials of life. We hope to help a bit on this subject.
You mustn't give up. You must first understand that you are NOT as fragile as you think. You must work to stand up and to prosper in any condition. You are much more adaptive than you think. Secondly you must stand up and be counted. Let the governments know what you expect - clean air, food and water. You must do your part. Every person matters and it only takes one person to tip the scale in a new direction. So you could very well be that one person who matters the most. Don't stand on the sidelines any longer - get up and get out and get moving. Volunteer your time, efforts and/or money in the causes that you believe in. It's just no longer acceptable to sit and wish for the changes. You must get up and get involved. Connect to your passion(s). Use that connection to harness your drive and motivation to help make the changes that you wish to see. To do this - think about the things you love the most, the things you do that allow you to lose track of time and to lose yourself completely in while doing. You can also tap into your passions by finding out what upsets you the most - people often overlook this as a means of discerning their true passions. Often it is the thing that really bothers you, scares or worries you the most that leads you to your passion. For instance - if you are very upset about not finding good, clean organic food - that can lead you to discovering a way to help not only you but others to a source - or to expanding a source that is there already. If clean drinking water is a worry - that could lead you to getting involved with a movement to assure you all have it - like a stewardship or council that is working to deliver clean drinking water to the planet. You see your passions aren't just about the things you love to do - they can be in the things that you find unjust, deplorable or unacceptable. After many years of public apathy - it is time to raise up and find your voice. Everyone is needed to make the changes this planet needs.
So, be the change you want to see and get involved where and when you can so that you can help this planet ride through the upcoming changes.
Thank you for this wonderful opportunity to address you and we wish you all peace, love and harmony in your lives.
With love,
Friend

Dear Friends,
It is only a few more days until the International Day of Peace on Sunday, 21 September!
CNN’s iReport, a news-oriented kind of youtube, just launched a special page for the International Day of Peace – http://www.ireport.com/dayofpeace! Just get registered and put your calls for world leaders and personal peace stories in videos, photos and texts online to everyone to see. We would love to know about what YOU think and do for peace! And if you are lucky, your story will be broadcasted by CNN.
Our TXT 4 PEACE campaign is getting bigger and bigger. We have received several hundred messages so far. Have a look at http://www.peaceday2008.org! Thanks so much for that!
Please keep sending your text messages to world leaders with the word ‘PEACE’ and then your message to 69866 (in the US only) or send an online message from http://www.peaceday2008.org! We are trying to receive 10.000 text messages and many more online messages by Sunday, 21 September! So please help us to spread the word.
Thank you so much for your support. All this would not happen without you!
Best wishes from UN Headquarters in New York,
The UN International Day of Peace Team
