Let's start a Master Mind group

I have been thinking about starting a Master Mind-like group here on this blog for a few months now.  Today I was catching up on some of my favorite blogs and I read a post over at Passion Meets Purpose that inspired me to write this post.  Kam writes about getting refocused and committing to what we want to accomplish before the end of the year.

As I posted my comment on Passion Meets Purpose about the 3 things I want to commit to, I realized again the power of sharing our goals with others.  It requires a certain level of internal commitment before we are ready to share our goals with others.  A commitment that serves us well as we work to accomplish these goals.  Simply sharing our goals with others also makes us more accountable.

A Master Mind group is a powerful way for people to support each other as they get clear about their goals and define what they need to do to accomplish them.  The idea is that there is a powerful synergistic affect when 2 or more people come together in a harmonious alliance to assist each other.  Napolean Hill coined the term Master Mind and believed this to be an essential part of achieving success.

The main goal of this group would be to assist each other as we work toward achieving our goals.  The blending of 2 or more like minds to create this Master Mind affect will help each member in a powerful way.  We can motivate, inspire, support, and challenge each other as we walk fearlessly on our path to fulfilling our highest purpose.

I am very excited about starting this group and I have several thoughts about how I could set this up.  Here are some of my ideas.  It could be a weekly post on this blog and members could communicate via comments.  It could be a Skypecast -everyone calls in via Skype and we communicate that way.  The Skypecast could even be recorded and made available for members and others (if the group wanted).  A third option would be to have the mastermind group on a separate blog and make it more private.

The way I see it the upside to doing it one a blog is that people could participate on their own time frame.  The downside would be that we would miss out on real time conversation.

The upsides to Skypecast are that the call is free and we would have real-time communication and feedback.  The downsides are that quality sometimes is an issue with Skype and it may be difficult to find a time that works for everyone involved.

So, are you ready to experience the powerful effects of a Master Mind group?  Are you ready to commit fully to your goals and become fully accountable for your progress?

If you answered yes to either of these questions, I would like to get feedback from you.  Would you be interested in joining this Master Mind group?  If so, what format would you prefer - part of this blog, a more private blog, or Skype?  Please email me or leave a comment to let me know your interest and preferences.
