Brett Farmiloe (Pursue the Passion) wrote Fires Start with Flickers. In this post Brett shares what spark ignited his desire to launch the Pursue the Passion Tour (this is pretty awesom, I highly recommend that you check this out). Brett and 2 of his college friends are setting out on a cross country journey to interview 200 people about their passion and career paths. Way to go Brett! I admire your passion and desire to follow your dreams.
Everyone wants to find their passion. The motivation that starts the pursuit is when people decide to stop waiting for the wave that may or may not come, and start to take action on the small sparks that holds the potential to be transformed into fiery flames.
Drew McLellan (Drew's Marketing Minute) wrote Do you inspire joy? From an experience while at a play in New York, Drew recognized the importance for all of us to make sure we are inspiring joy in those we work with and for. I think in order to inspire joy in others we need to be feeling and revelling in joy ourselves.
Every one of us has the capacity to create a joyful experience. Haven't you ever hung up the phone with a big smile on your face because someone exceeded your expectations? Haven't you ever finished a meeting with a business partner and felt so good about the work you're doing together that you wanted to do a little jig?
Cardin Routh (Optimist Lab) wrote Happiness is a Choice. Cardin, you hit the nail on the head with this! Happiness is most definitely a choice... and happiness can only come from inside. Unfortunately, many people spend time chasing external things trying to "make" themselves happy. When all they need to do is stop, look inside, connect with their essential spirit, and start choosing different thoughts.
It’s a choice. Always a choice. You start by choosing thoughts that feel good to think. And then you choose some more. And then some more.
No matter what your external circumstances, you can choose thoughts that feel better. You can choose to be happy. You can always choose to dance. Always. Whenever.
Edward Mills (Evolving Times) gives us Personal Development Lessons from Rocky Balboa. Edward shares an open and honest look at the Law of Attraction and some of the difficulties encountered on the journey toward deliberate creation. All this goodness sparked from watching Rocky Balboa. I keep hearing good things about this movie... perhaps, I will need to check it out.
So, at the start of our journey towards mastery of the Law of the Attraction, there will be times when it feels like we’re being hit hard. There will be times when a decision leading us away from default creation and towards deliberate creation knocks all the wind out of our lungs....
And somewhere down the line, after picking yourself up and dusting yourself off and stepping into that ring again and again, you will find that it is possible to live in alignment with the Law of Attraction. You will discover that life does not need to filled with struggle and strive and stress.
Thanks Brett, Drew, Cardin, and Edward for inspiring me and sharing such great posts this week!
