High Vibes

I have been tagged twice to play along in the game of raising vibes created by Cardin at Optimist Lab.  My first tag came from Ms. Passion Meets Purpose and then while I was thinking about my post, Hilda from Living Out Loud tagged me again.  Thank you, Kammie and Hilda, for the link love and for giving my article Positive Attitude during Difficult Times a High Vibe

So here are the rules set up by Cardin:

1. Write a new post about your five favorite tricks for “Raising Your Vibes”.
2. Link back to OptimistLab and the person who tagged you at the top of your post.
3. Give your attention to five (or more if you want) deserving bloggers by picking one high-quality post by each blogger.
4. Tag these bloggers by going to High Vibe it, and submitting your “Raising Your Vibes” post and the five posts you picked.
5.Tell each blogger you picked that they’ve been tagged either through email or by leaving a comment.

Ok... so here are 5 (plus 1) ways that I raise my energy level:

  1. Listen to my iPod.  I put on my iPod and crank up the volume on one of my playlists with my favorite music mixed with ipopin affirmations.  Music has a way of seeping into my soul and raising my mood and energy level.  Clearly, I am a bit biased about the power of ipopins, but I really do listen to them and enjoy them!  :)
  2. Walk in nature.  This is a biggie for me.  I love getting out in nature and letting the energy of the earth wash over me.  I open myself up to the wisdom of nature and this helps me connect to my essential spirit.
  3. Imagery.  I am a big fan of hypnosis and imagery.  One of my favorite energy raising imagery exercises is to imagine the energy from the earth moving up through my feet filling my power center (just below the navel), then moving up to fill the heart center, and finally moving out the top of my head connecting me with the Universe.
  4. Read.  I read a lot.  I read personal/spiritual development books and blogs.  One sure fire way to help me raise my energy is to read a passage from the Tao Te Ching.  I will read a passage and then meditate on this passage.  I often use the passage then to guide me for the day.
  5. Meditate.  I have meditated on and off for the past 20 years.  Meditation is a great way for me to connect with my essential spirit and raise my vibes. 
  6. Laugh.  Laughter is an excellent way to raise energy.  I watch funny movies or simply find myself giggling at something funny that has happened.  I grew up in a family that loved to laugh.  In fact, there were times that my mother, sister, and I would be out grocery shopping and we would start laughing so hard (for no real reason) that we would have to leave.  :)  I love laughing!
