I have been tagged by Hilda Carroll of Living Out Loud to play along in the meme started by Aaron Pots over at Today is that day. The purpose of this meme is to share our success habits. This is a pretty cool idea and I want to thank Aaron for starting this. While I may be a bit late to this meme, I will go for it anyway.
Simply Successful Secrets:
- Attitude of gratitude - I don't actually write my gratitude list down in a journal; however, I do go through the list in my head. I do this every morning before I get out of bed and each night before I go to sleep. I believe that having an attitude of gratitude is a key to success.
- Affirmations - I listen to my ipopin affirmations daily and also have some affirmation cards that I look at frequently. Affirmations help keep my mind focused on what I want to create and keep my energy vibration in line with my desires.
- Read - I read blogs, books, newsletters, etc. I believe in the idea that readers are leaders. I read mostly personal development books and blogs mixed with a bit of business development. I often have between 2 and 4 books going at the same time (I admit I am a bit ADD).
- Exercise - I walk almost every day. It is important to take care of my whole self and exercise and good nutrition are important to me.
- Laugh - I believe a good sense of humor is an important part of success. I enjoy looking for humor and being playful.
- I set my intentions - energy follows intention. We get what we ask for... whether we want it or not.
- I choose my attitude - We have complete control of our attitude and I make sure to choose a positive attitude - even during challenging times.
- Imagery/hypnosis - I use imagery and hypnosis to tap into my inner resources. These techniques help me achieve my goals.
- Meditate - I have practiced meditation on and off for the last 20 years. I am recently back on again. It feels good to take this time everyday to meditate and get centered. I am more productive and effective when I meditate. In addition I practice mindfulness (present moment focus). This is still a work in progress for me. I am better at it now then I once was, but I still have a way to go.
- Follow my intuition - this is perhaps one of the most important things that I do. I trust my intuition completely and honor my intuitive voice. I have learned through the years that if I trust my intuition things will work out much better than I can even imagine.
Well... that was fun! I enjoyed playing along. I look forward to seeing the results of this project over at Today is that day.
If you haven't been tagged... you're it! You better hurry though because Aaron has a cut off date of May 10th to participate. If you play along, link back to this post as your inspiration (or to the person who tagged you) and send a link to Aaron's original post about the project.
